Chef Joan McNamara of Joan’s on Third in Los Angeles lives a few blocks down from her West Third Street restaurant in a bright, industrial loft. Her enviable kitchen, sandwiched between living and dining areas, features both marble and stainless steel countertops and is clearly chef-designed (see the line up of copper saucepans for proof). To replicate the look, we’ve detailed some of the kitchen’s key design elements below.
Above: Farrow & Ball’s dark Off Black paint is similar to the color on the kitchen island cabinetry. Above: Subway Ceramics’ 3-by-6-inch Ceramic Tile is similar to the tile in McNamara’s kitchen, only set with white grout.
Above: The Apartment Pendant with a black cord is $139 at Schoolhouse Electric. Above: Pair the simple industrial pendant with the Opal Open Globe Shade for a similar look to the trio of lights over the kitchen island; $74 for the shade at Schoolhouse Electric.
