From Sarah
This past summer, I visited friends in a stunningly beautiful, remote corner of Scotland's west coast. My fellow house guest was Stephen Morgan, one half of Morgan Ashard, a partnership that designs and produces carpets. Custom made in Nepal, the rugs are crafted from the wool of Changpel sheep, which is hand spun, then dyed with vegetables or minerals. The particular long staple of the wool (densely hand knotted at 100 knots per inch) gives the carpets great depth of color and makes them very durable. Based in the UK, Morgan Ashard ship overseas; contact directly for pricing.
