Shopper’s Diary: Leaf Zakka

September 9th, 2007

From Julie:

Why do the Scandinavians and the Japanese do such a brilliant job with utilitarian design? We have Target and Walmart, they have Ikea and Muji (now in NY, in SoHo, Times Square, and JFK; visit Muji).

The Scandi design landscape is well-trod territory; lately we’ve been admiring the understated rusticity of Japanese household objects, including these household items from Leaf Zakka; go to Rakuten.
