Recently, Chez Panisse in Berkeley started serving filtered tap water and house-aerated sparkling water (as an environmental measure) in lieu of bottled water from Europe. Do Alice Waters one better at your next dinner party and use repurposed clear wine bottles (soak off the label first) as water carafes; just fill with cold water from your Brita.
