From Sarah
Combine Japanese aestheticism, Danish sensibility, and a touch of Anglo and you see where Tora Urup is coming from. The Copenhagen-based designer studied ceramics and glass in Denmark, Japan, and the UK, and she produces sublime tableware and other items for the home. This past summer, I was introduced to her work by UK architect John Glew; the pair collaborated on custom porcelain door handles, below. Go to Tora Urup.

Glass bowls, recently on display at the Danish Museum of Art & Design (Brugkulturen).
