DIY: Giorgio Morandi Still Life

From Julie:

I’m always striving to re-create the look of a Giorgio Morandi still life, Italian poet of biscuit tins and simple crockery:

Just noticed the Havtorn painted earthenware line from Ikea, consisting of simple bottles and vases and ranging from $9.99 to $12.99 at ikea.com:

Of course, if you want to get a bit more complicated, investigate the work of elusive Australian potter Gwynn Hanson Piggot, the true interpreter of the Morandi mystique.
