Slow Design: Made from Salvage
July 4th, 2007
From Janet:
Simple, utilitarian tables are hard to find. I’d use this one (it’s made from salvaged pine flooring with an iron base) as a side table in a rustic kitchen. From Sarasota Architectural Salvage (sarasotasalvage.com) for $395.

Thank you for your inclusion of my furniture piece on your forum. As a woodworker/artist, it is wonderful to share my vision of functionality, beauty and style with others. I am commited to using salvaged and recycled materials and appreciate others who also see the value in it. Thank you!

I wanted to update your users what I have been up to since this post in July, 2007. The appreciation for traditionally made furniture and art from recyled materials in my local area has been tremendous! I have since launched a web site that highlights some of my pieces made from reclaimed and salvaged lumber as well pieces that have been custom ordered. Check out http://www.heartsart.us when you get a moment to check out some of the latest works! Thank you again for your attention!
