DIY: Stair Rope Banisters
Issue 22 · Pacific Northwest · June 3, 2011
Noticed (and admired) recently: the humble rope banister. UK outfit Stair Ropes makes "stair ropes, banister rope, and rope handrails and barriers, using traditional rope working and knotting techniques and a specialist knowledge or ropes and cordage." Stair Ropes works with clients in both the UK and the US; owner James Watson will spec individual projects and deliver all the necessary components.
