Remodelista contributing editor Izabella Simmons is a Swede with style to spare. When Izabella and her husband Brandon moved to Little Rock, Arkansas, to
remodel an 80-year-old house, all her years of design research kicked in. Her kitchen remodel features locally sourced materials, appliances, and cabinetry, and accessories shipped globally, thanks to the Internet. Here’s a look at the kitchen and sources direct from Izabella.
Above: Izabella and Brandon worked with a local kitchen design store on the black and white cabinets; the design was their own. The red oak hardwood floors were bleached three times to achieve the look (for more see Scandi Whitewashed Floors: Before and After).
