Noticed lately: a new crop of pour-over carafes and coffee drippers in heat-resistant glass. Here are our favorites for playing chemist in the kitchen.

Above: The Hario V60 02 Glass Coffee Dripper is $22 at Clive Coffee.
Above: Yield Design’s Double-Wall Pour Over in gray is made of borosilicate glass; $32.
Above: The Kinto Coffee Dripper & Pot Set is made of heat-resistant glass and includes a glass jug, dripper, lid, and stainless steel filter; $78 at Barneys New York.
Above: The Hario V60 Glass Dripper with Olivewood has a wood base and silcone ring to secure the dripper to a cup or carafe; $40.25 at Prima Coffee.
Above: The Gino Dripper is made of double-walled glass; $24 at notNeutral. The brand also makes the Lino Mug to match the dripper.
Above: From Craighton Berman Studio in Chicago, the Manual Coffeemaker is made of borosilicate glass with a wood base ($49) or lacquered bamboo base (shown); $89.
Above: Hario’s Glass Drip Pot holds 240ml (one to two cups) and is similar in style to the familiar Chemex pour over with a dark wood neck; $51 at Williams-Sonoma.
