A while back we featured the 1900s cabins of Manka’s Inverness Lodge in West Marin. Now, as part of our Golden State week, we’re revisiting the full bath in each of the large cabins, each one complete with a clawfoot tub, an outdoor shower, and vintage fixtures. Here are some ideas for re-creating the look.

Materials
Above: Benjamin Moore’s Steam paint is $39.99 a gallon through Benjamin Moore. For more ideas, see our post Architects’ 10 Favorite Warm White Paints. Above: Farrow & Ball’s Pitch Black paint is $110 a gallon from Farrow & Ball.
Fixtures
Above: Victoria & Albert’s York Bathtub is crafted of a composite material called Englishcast, a blend of volcanic limestone and resin that results in a naturally white tub. It doesn’t have a surface coating that can chip or peel, and has better insulating qualities than traditional cast-iron tubs. With white feet and a chrome drain, it’s $2,990.30 at Quality Bath. Above: The Native Trails Palomar Vanity Top with Integral Sink is made of a cement and jute fiber concrete; $933.75 at Quality Bath.
