The Socialite Family has, in the past year, come out with both a book and a line of home furnishings, born of founder Constance Gennari’s desire to introduce new interpretations of vintage French classics. Here are some favorites.
Above: A group of Cavallo Armchairs (in Brick Red) that are made of polished beech and cane with a colorful linen seat and brass feet. They’re made in Italy; €490 ($553) each. Above: The Bench Panchina has a midcentury-style chrome frame with polished beech and cane. Made in Italy; €399 ($450). Above: The Cavallo Armchair in pink. Above: The Copertina Throw, shown in Green (also available in Yellow, Olive Black, and Sienna) is a soft, lightweight cotton gauze blanket made in Portugal; €49 to €95 ($56 to $108). Above: The Small White Wall Light was designed by the Socialite Family in collaboration with lighting company HAOS. It’s made of matte opal glass, white ceramic, and brass for €450 ($515). It’s also available in black. Above: The Large Round Rio Cushion is one of many cushion sizes and color/print combinations that the line has. It’s made of velvet in green and yellow, one color on either side; €85 ($97). Above: The Little Charpoi is an Indian-style Charpoi bench made in black and white elastic on a black metal frame. It was designed in collaboration with Parisian furniture company Le Monde Sauvage and made in India; €220 ($248). A coordinating Charpoi Petit Mattress is €195 ($220 USD). The Wallpaper shown is also done with Le Monde Sauvage using Indian batik technique; €82 ($94 USD) for four meters (about 13 feet).
