Worn founders Lia-Belle King and Lotte James Barnes worked in the fashion and design industry for 15 years before “abandoning our respective careers for travel and self-discovery,” as they say. “Worn is the by-product of our time spent living in Indonesia; a physical manifestation of our combined life experience. It also represents a time where the concept of simplicity was at the forefront of our daily focus: Consume thoughtfully and less. And when consuming, make it handmade and ethical.”
The enterprise started with the production of a single sling chair, made of leather with a teak frame. “We soon extended our furniture collection to include different leather treatments; next we added cane and rattan pieces as well as new and antique pieces sourced from villages in Indonesia and Borneo.”
Here’s a look at what’s on offer.
