  • One of our favorite antiques and vintage dealers (plus furniture designer) Christopher Howe is having his first ever warehouse sale in his Battersea studio from October 1st to the 5th. On offer: Made by Howe studio prototypes, antique furniture, lighting, and more. Go to Howe London for details.
  • An apple a day: Margot is admiring the instagram account Odd Apples, by photographer William Mullan, who is obsessed with “rare and curious apples.” (Read more at T Magazine.)
  • Speaking of apples, if you happen to be in Portland, Maine, on Monday, October 14, the sixth annual Heirloom Apple Tasting offers a wide range of apples handpicked in New England’s orchards courtesy of the Righteous Russet (aka apple and cider expert Sean Turley).
  • Our friends at Crane Cookware are launching a Kickstarter campaign for their handsome new K Range Knives, with Swedish Sandvik steel blades and walnut or black composite handles, designed by Matthew Hilton Studio.
  • Lots going on in the direct-to-consumer cookware space: new companies on our radar include Our Place, Equal PartsGreat Jones, and STACK, a high-performance, space-saving nesting cookware system.
  • Over on Gardenista, Fan tackles the issue of bulbs: Your First Garden: What You Need to Know Before You Plant Bulbs.
  • We’re loving the new limited-edition fall palette (in shades of ochre, moss, fig, and navy) from Rough Linen.
  • Remodelista Considered Design Award winners Herringbone Designed has launched a clean-lined collection of furniture and accessories called Herringbone Designed.
