10 Easy Pieces: Guest Bath Sinks

June 11th, 2008

From Julie and Janet:

Ten tiny sinks for the guest bathroom. When space is tight and style is in short supply, these will help on both counts. All dimensions are in inches.

We hate to play favorites, but these three sinks from Italian company Lacava are top of our list. Maybe it’s because they remind us of 1st-class European train lavatories?

Below: Lacava’s Italian porcelain 4031 Washbasin, which is 10W by 16D by 12.5H; $705 at Spacify; you can also order direct from Lacava.

We had a sink very similar to the Rohl Wall Mount Hand Rinse Bowl in our guest bath when I was growing up. The separate hot and cold faucets are a HUGE pain. Alternating as quickly as you can between freezing cold and burning hot water is not a good experience.
