Design Sleuth: Minos Tiles from Ann Sacks

July 16, 2010

It today’s Hotels, Lodging & Restaurants: Pensao Favorita in Porto, I especially admired the tiles in the hotel’s common areas. I consulted with my go-to tile expert at Ann Sacks in New York, Michael Bruno, and he suggested Ann Sacks Jaffa Interlock from the Minos Line (prices start at about $31 per square foot) as an option. Hand-cut, hand-placed Minos mosaics are manufactured in Israel and offer “museum-quality craftsmanship,” according to Bruno.
