One of our favorite Canadian homewares purveyors, Old Faithful Shop in Vancouver, offers this credo regarding its goods: “In a disposable world, we appreciate items that will exist long after we do not.” We can’t help but spot some similarity to Shaker design maxims of producing simple, long-lasting, highest-quality wares.
On that note, we’re admiring a new offering at Old Faithful: The company’s own line of light fixtures with flush-mount casings. Here’s a look.
Above: The OFS Flush Mount light fixture is a simple ceiling light, designed and made in Vancouver; $74.95, bulb not included. Above: When mounted horizontally, the fixture can be used as a sconce—to light a hallway, closet, or bathroom. The light is five inches in diameter and 3.25 inches tall. Drop Pendant hangs a petite steel disk from a brass fixture with on/off switch and a 15-inch white steel rod.
