This just in: the debut collection of “customizable lighting made on-demand” from New York City–based brand In Common With. We recently heard about the collection via the TriBeCa pop-up Home, which launched as part of New York Design Week and has been extended through the month of June. Here’s a virtual look at a few of the line’s offerings.
Above: The Tipi Pendant (from $300) has a hand-spun metal shade and is available as a surface-mount fixture or as a drop pendant. Other finishes besides taupe (shown)—blackened steel, brushed steel, and brushed brass—can be made upon request. The orb bulb is shown, but it can also be made with a triangular bulb. Above: The “mold-blown opaline” Orb Pendant “provides a soft translucence perfect for illuminating workspaces, dining areas, and living spaces,” and it’s available in three sizes (from $150). Above: Available hardwired or as a plug-in, the petite Spot Light (from $150) makes an efficient bedside reading light. Above: The Spot Floor Lamp (from $450), in two sizes and various finishes. Above: The Tipi Pendant in brushed steel; $350. N.B.: Bear in mind that there’s a long lead time for these lights, as long as 12 weeks; the company says that “shorter lead times can be accommodated upon request.”
