There’s nothing like a quirky, handmade lamp to give an interior a dose of character.
The New Craftsmen in London is a good place to find one—particularly thanks to designs from artists Aimee Betts, Camilla Bliss, and Adam Ross, new to the shop this spring. Here’s a look. Above: A styled scene from the New Craftsmen features some of the shop’s latest designs for spring. On the table is a leather lamp (also below) by Aimee Betts. Above: By mixed-media textile designer Aimee Betts, the Ricasso Barrel Table Lamp is made of hand-braided cow and kangaroo suede and waxed cotton cord. The shade is sold separately and the lamp base is handmade to order; $2,663. Above: The Figurative Stem Table Lamp by Camilla Bliss is an elongated ceramic shape with lion and guardian faces at the top of the lamp base. The lamp base is $947 and is also available in black and gold metallic glaze. Above: Another design from Camilla Bliss, the Large Guardian Table Lamp is designed in Petrol blue with tactile bumps of lion and guardian faces; $2,130. The lamp is inspired by Jupiter’s largest moon, Ganymede; $1,006.
