Furniture: David Weeks Sculpt Collection

May 13, 2008

David Weeks, one of our favorite lighting designers, has just introduced his first furniture collection. The Sculpt line of upholstered pieces is inspired by topographic maps and Barbara Hepworth’s modernist stone sculptures. Weeks started out as a sculptor, which is evident in the asymmetrical shapes that appear to float on a stainless steel frame. The 10-foot sofa ($15,000), 8-foot sofa ($12,300), and armchair ($6,720) are serious investment pieces; available at Ralph Pucci International. See 10 Easy Pieces: Mod Bath Sconces and 10 Easy Pieces: Desk Lamps; also see Our Houses.
