Furniture: Chair One by Konstantin Grcic

Julie Carlson October 27, 2008

I confess I actively disliked the Chair One, designed by Konstantin Grcic for Magis, until I saw it in this interior by LASC Studio, mixed with a traditional bentwood chair. Suddenly I see the point.

Below: Magis Chair One Stacking Dining Chair of die-cast aluminum coated with polyester powder; $395 at Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco (the chair is used in the Herzog & de Meuron–designed de Young Museum Café).
