Located on the outermost tip of Long Island’s east end, The Surf Lodge in Montauk, NY features interiors designed by nightclub impresario Rob McKinley, part of the team behind clubs like GoldBar and Cain. We like the breezy, easy-to-recreate guest rooms, featuring seagrass matting, crisp white linens, and hanging rattan swings.

Above: The Muir Platform Bed is made of reclaimed Douglas fir with brushed nickel legs; individually crafted in Los Angeles. The Queen Size Muir Platform Bed is $1,900 at Amenity Home.

Above: Trondheim Six-Drawer Dresser; $279 from Ikea.

Above: Pottery Barn’s Patchwork Jute Rug is available in a range of sizes; prices start at $119 for the 3-by-5-foot size. Tikimaster sells authentic 1-by-1-foot-square Seagrass Matting; a 6-by-9-foot size is $154.

Above: The Alvar Aalto–designed Stool 60 for Artek is available with three or four legs; $250 at Unica Home (price dodgers know that until recently you could get the almost identical Frosta stool for about $10 at Ikea, but we’ve just learned that stool has been discontinued).

Above: Coyuchi’s organic percale 100 percent cotton sheets are available in white or ivory; the Coyuchi Queen Flat is $70 and the Fitted Queen is $66.

Above: The 100 percent cotton Pom Pom Throw (available in five colors) is $50 at Calypso Home.

Above: Aqua Thistle Pillow; made by Utility Canvas from 100 percent cotton canvas, 20 by 20 inches; $54 at Terrain.
