Lighting: Schoolhouse Electric Pendant

In our perfect world, all lighting fixtures would be as elegantly industrial as the made-to-order, $169 porcelain Alabax Pendant from Schoolhouse Electric, which has retail showrooms in Portland, OR, and Tribeca in NYC. NB: Our favorite hotel, the Ace Hotel in Portland, OR, uses SE Alabax pendants for hallway illumination.

We have three SE fixtures in our new house, and oh my goodness, are they beautiful.

I wish we had gotten them for all of our rooms, but we discovered them after buying for the kitchen already.
