The place to stay if you're paying a visit to MASS MoCA in the heart of the northern Berkshires: The Porches Inn in the once-faded, now vibrant town of North Adams.
Porches is located on the grounds of MASS MoCA (Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art), a collection of galleries and performance spaces housed in a once-dilapidated 19th-century mill complex. Decorated in what the owners call "industrial granny chic," the interiors of the inn, which is carved out of a row of Victorian houses, "pay homage to the generations of mill workers’ families who lived there."
