Living with less is both possible and practical, until it comes to the kids’ rooms. Not so for British design phenom Faye Toogood, who designed her twin daughters’ nursery and older child’s bedroom with a calm, minimalist leaning. The Hampshire flat is an interim space between the London flat Faye and husband Matt Gibberd lived in and their future family home (“the house I want to live in for a very long time,” says Faye). Much of the family’s furniture, art, and objects are in storage so minimalism came naturally, but the look is aspirational for all: toys are put away and pale gray-white and wood provide a canvas for playtime. Here are some of the key elements of the look.
