Shopper’s Diary: Spring Decor at Terrain

Meredith Swinehart April 15, 2011

Spring is in full bloom at Terrain at Styer's in Glen Mills, Pennsylvania; tulips are up, hydrangeas are out, and even the terrariums are flaunting little pink buds. Terrain is our perennial go-to place for inspiration and gardening ideas (it's also an excellent place to find a gift for fast-approaching Mother's Day).

Above: A lovely take on a spring tradition—the maypole—shown here with pastel cloth ribbon and air plants.

Above: New Green Roof Birdhouse, $58 (not yet available online; contact Terrain directly for ordering information).

Above: Whimsical carrots crafted of wicker; $12 (contact Terrain directly to order).

Above: Terrain's Bird Finial Cloche is $28.

Above: Linen napkins, tablecloths, and runners hand-screenprinted by regional artist Celina Mancurti, part of an heirloom collection found only at Terrain. The Nested Birds Table Runner and Nested Napkin Set feature natural bird illustrations in coordinating colors; $78 for the runner and $72 for the set of four napkins.

Above: Spring terrarium with delicate quail egg; a Set of a Dozen Quail Eggs is $12.

Above: Handmade from natural grass, moss, and twigs, appealing Bird's Nests can serve as Easter baskets or Easter table centerpieces. Approximately 6 inches in diameter; $16 for a set of two.

Above: A collection of simple Recycled Glass Jars (small, $28, and large, $48) display a selection of spring buds.
