Recently, Fan and I were on the phone, exclaiming over glimpses of Julianne Moore’s New York City apartment. Julianne is a longtime source of inspiration—she wrote the foreward for the original Remodelista book way back in 2009, and her 1840s townhouse kitchen is still a touchstone for us. Unsurprisingly, her new kitchen captivated, too: green-topped table, generous windows looking out at a roof garden, and stacks of ceramics. “Ooh, is that Ikea?” Fan wondered, looking at a particularly great-looking metal shelf holding stoneware dishes.
A few days later, we were delighted to see a full tour of Julianne’s place, and like all of the Internet, we’ve been poring over the details—and stopped short when we saw Julianne’s confirmation: Ikea indeed!
Have a look at the shelf we’ve been admiring all week—and maybe snag one for yourself. It’s hard-working yet considered and sure to come in handy anywhere that could use a little extra storage.

N.B: There are other storage styles and sizes available in the Kolbjörn collection, too, like this taller version; the featured image at the top of this story shows the shorter version.
