  • Fan’s friend George McCalman, an SF artist, activist, columnist, and designer, is unveiling a show at The Perish Trust’s new gallery space Perish_ables this coming Thursday. In ‘Tell Me Three Things I Can Do/Return to Sender,” McCalman examines the coded language of race that reflects a response to this year’s uprisings. The show is open Wednesday-Friday by appointment only via Instagram @theperishtrust or by emailing [email protected] and Saturdays from 12-4 with social distancing.
  • MoMA is celebrating Design Innovations for Women with a popup shop—a celebration of “good design for female reproduction, sexuality, and activity.”
  • One of our favorite SF shops, March, has a new collection of simple herb pots; they’re handmade in Tuscany from natural terracotta.
  • Meredith is admiring the new Jason Wu for Brizo line of simple, mod faucets.
  • On our radar: Venice Glass Week takes place from September 5th to 13th; we’re interested in London Venice: The Spirit of Resurgence, an exhibition of new works by John Pawson, Industrial Facility, Ross Lovegrove, Tom Dixon, and Bethan Laura Wood.
  • Looking for a new sofa? Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams are having a Labor Day sale: Free delivery and up to 30 percent off orders of $3,500 or more.
  • Another offer worth noting: Save up to 40 percent on Artemide, Kartell, and more during Y Lighting’s Labor Day sale, plus free shipping. Enter code: BONUS for a free gift. Sale ends Tuesday, September 8.
