Set in the rolling Wiltshire countryside of England, two adjoining workers cottages were gutted and refurbished by Barbara Weiss Architects to create a subtly sophisticated, airy family weekend retreat. Weiss, who was born in Italy and educated in London, has worked with architects such as Philip Johnson and Richard Meier in New York and Stirling Wilford and Associates in London; she now runs a practice in Islington.
