Umami: Umami was my first solo project. It’s a two-story Japanese tavern that focuses on creative sushi and specialty cocktails. There are so many special touches here, like custom sinks, tables, and light fixtures that I co-designed with the owner’s father-in-law, and a private dining room that’s wallpapered with pages torn from Japanese school books. Citizens Band: Since the chef/owner at Citizens Band is my friend, this project was really fun and collaborative. We worked together to find materials at local salvage yards that we could repurpose as design elements. We did the bar with pallets of found heath ceramic tile and created an art installation that pulled from my personal collection of postcards and illustrations. Photo: Keeney+Law Dropbox Offices: Dropbox has grown quickly, so my design for their office had be adaptable. The lighting and sound systems were specifically created to make the workplace as pleasant as it is productive. Custom mobile furniture allows for easy collaboration, anywhere, anytime. Photo: Bruce Damonte Photography Instagram Offices: The design for the Instagram office was inspired by their branding. We created a custom coffee station, built an inventory of retro furniture, and curated a vintage camera collection, which is on display on the lobby. Photo: Molly Decoudreaux Culinary Edge: A built-in commercial kitchen is both central to restaurant consulting firm Culinary Edge’s business and the center of their business. We used the kitchen as a main focal point and kept the surroundings simple modern, and clean. Photo: Keeney+Law Path Offices: We have a long-term relationship with Path, so as their company expands, so does our design. We’ve established a wonderful relationship, so Geremia Design is trusted to take risks and experiment with materials. This has resulted in some incredible custom furniture and artwork. Photo: Keeney + Law Hillsborough Residence: A natural, modern aesthetic made perfect sense for this client, a bi-coastal couple who love to entertain outside. We chose art, furniture and finishings that are harmonious with a nature lover’s lifestyle. Pao Alto Residence: This was one of Geremia Design’s first full projects. We worked closely with the client on every little detail of the furnishings and layout of their Edwardian house. My favorite features include a custom headboard we made out of leftover backyard kindling and an art piece made from textured Japanese paper that I pinned to the living room wall. Photo: Kenney+Law San Francisco Penthouse: This downtown penthouse is kind of the ultimate SF bachelor pad. The owner had no furniture so we got to start completely from scratch. The custom art in this space is really exciting, especially the eye-catching mural on his bedroom wall. Noe Valley Residence: I loved the opportunity to collaborate with artist and designer friends on this project. Together, we created one-of-a-kind pieces that were were perfect for a Noe Valley flat, including a custom chandelier, sofa, dining table, outdoor furniture, and a floating DJ table.
