Designers and architects Timothy Haynes and Kevin Roberts of New York firm Haynes-Roberts specialize in large and lavish projects in places as far-flung as Dublin, Palm Beach, and London; for their own summer house on Long Island they used rustic, reclaimed flooring in the light-filled living room.
N.B. For more on what London's Future Laboratory is calling the Rough Luxe movement, "celebrating a heavy rawness erring on the artisanal," see the WSJ Magazine's recent article on the subject, which includes projects by Haynes-Roberts.
