Restaurant Visit: B & B Winepub in Soho

Issue 15 · Tribeca Bohemia · April 11, 2011

Owned by John McDonald and Joshua Pickard (of Lure Fishbar and Locanda Verde) and designed by Meyer Davis Studio in New York, B&B in SoHo evokes the ambience of a 1950s gentlemen's club. Inspired by West Coast desert architecture, the team outfitted the space with a tufted green leather bar, hanging billiard fixtures, and wood-paneled walls. "It was important to make it feel like it was old but not in a European or in that faux-bistro genre," says McDonald. "We used almost nothing new in the interior."
