The Elk in the Woods, located in London's Islington neighborhood, manages to pull off an unorthodox mix of materials that somehow all work together. To wit: reclaimed wood flooring, rough wood-clad walls, white tiles, red brick, a concrete countertop, vintage wallpaper, a leather banquette, a wall of mirrors, and an elk's head chucked in for good measure.
