In honor of Fourth of July, a roundup of handmade graphic flags for the summer interior.

The flag has “hand-stitched appliqué letters and shapes on an all-natural linen field and is finished with natural twill tape, then rubber-stamped. Code K is Wild Standard’s minimalist interpretation on the nautical signal flag, which means ‘I want to talk to you,'” according to West Elm. Above: The handmade Code Zero Flag, by Austin, TX-based Wild Standard, is $90 from West Elm. “Code Zero is their minimalist interpretation of the maritime numerical signal flag.” Above: Rochester, NY-based We Buy Gold, founded by Erick Florez, makes handmade, hand-printed flags and banners using only use water-based inks. “We do our best to source the majority of our materials from the US,” says Florez. The Talking Heads-inspired This Must Be the Place flag is available in white and black for $57. Above: This Black U.S. Flag from We Buy Gold is screen printed on 100 percent cotton canvas and features sturdy stitching and precise construction. Made to be hung vertically; $87.
