Proof that this modern kitchen is timeless? The remodel could have been done three or 13 years ago, in the best way. To avoid the obsolesce of too-trendy finishes, architect Malcom Davis achieved an
urban farmhouse-style kitchen with board-and-batten paneling, ceramic tile, soapstone, and Carrara paired with industrial furnishings and a Wolf range. Here, we detail the key components of the look.

Materials Above: The paneling and ceiling are painted Benjamin Moore Nimbus (1465), a soft gray—”at 50 percent strength,” the owners say referring to the mix of paint and primer to lighten the shade. Above: The cabinets are Benjamin Moore Swiss Coffee OC 45 Paint. Above: The kitchen backsplash is made up of Heath Ceramics G7 Opaque White Tiles in the two-by-four inch rectangular shape. Appliances Above: The Wolf Subzero 48-Inch Pro Wall Chimney Hood (PWC482418) is $3,225. Above: The Wolf 48 Inch Gas Range 6 Burner (GR486G) is $12,915 at Don’s TV and Appliance. Furniture & Fixtures Above: The industrial table base seen in the kitchen came from Big Daddy’s Antiques; Will Wick of Wick Design (who helped the couple find some of the furnishings and make paint choices) fabricated the Carrara marble top, which can be raised and lowered from counter to bar height. For something similar, the Adjustable Cast Iron Crank Table Base is $875 at Knox Deco. Above: From Seats and Stools, the Adjustable Industrial Black Steel Barstool is $94. Above: An affordable and practical commercial-style faucet, the Danze Parma Single-Handle Pre-Rinse Faucet has a 22.75-inch-tall, 10-inch-long spout with a spring-action wand that returns it to its place. Made of brass with a stainless steel finish, it operates on spray and regular stream mode; $539.70 on Wayfair. For more see our post 10 Easy Pieces: Commercial-Style Kitchen Faucets. Accessories Above: The Heath Ceramics Shallow Salad Bowl in Onyx is $175. Above: For a similar black striped kitchen towel, the All Cotton and Linen Black Striped Dish Towels are $18.50 at Amazon.
