Shopper’s Diary: Aprons from Winter Session in Chicago

Izabella Simmons July 07, 2011

Chicago-based Winter Session was founded by a trio of friends over a series of coffee conversations at a local neighborhood cafe. They realized they shared a common love for handmade, high-quality, affordable utilitarian goods; the result of their collaboration includes a collection of aprons (which they sew themselves) made from denim and reclaimed fabrics from decommissioned work uniforms. For more information, go to Winter Session.

Above: The PT Aprons are made from upcycled cotton work pants and shirt pockets; $78 each at the Haymaker Shop in Chicago.

Above: The Pullman Apron with utility pockets is $78.

Above: The BB Apron is made from raw denim in blue or black (100 percent cotton, grown and woven in the USA) and is $88 at Vitrine.
