Spotted (and admired) recently: Nordic Knots, a rug brand inspired by classic, simple Nordic designs. The origin story? A trio of Swedes, Fabian Berglund (an ad agency creative director), his wife, Liza Laserow (an interior designer and antiques dealer), and Fabian’s brother, Felix Berglund (a Stockholm-based entrepreneur), found themselves brainstorming ideas for bringing Scandinavian home design to the US market. “We realized that at the center of every Swedish home is a good rug,” says Berglund, and that’s how Nordic Knots was born. The rug collection has a minimal aesthetic with color schemes inspired by the facades of 19th-century Stockholm architecture. Here’s a look at the collection; the design studio is in Stockholm if you are in the neighborhood.

Nordic Knots’ rugs are handwoven and made from 100 percent New Zealand wool. Each rug comes in six different sizes; prices range from $289 for the nine-foot-long runner to $1,699 for the 10-by-14-foot size. For more rug inspiration, see:
