High/Low: Artisanal Porcelain Pendant Light

October 14, 2019

We’ve been admiring Philadelphia artist Natalie Page’s handmade porcelain lights for a while now (we first posted on them in 2013), and the lamps have appeared in some of our favorite projects (see Kitchen of the Week: A New-Build Kitchen in Mill Valley, CA). So we couldn’t help but notice the similarity when we spotted Visual Comfort’s new Porcelain Pendant.

Have a look:

Natalie Page&#8
Above: Natalie Page’s lamps are handmade from earthenware and are suspended from an iron chain and pull; the cord is made from braided fabric. Prices start at $1,000 for the smallest size via BDDW.
Suzanne Kasler&#8
Above: Suzanne Kasler’s Limoges Pendant Light for Visual Comfort has a plaster white shade and natural rusted iron chain and fittings; $539.
