The doormat is one of the first details visitors encounter in your house. How welcoming—and environmentally friendly—is yours?
Admired in our recent tour of the Mjölk Shepherd’s Hut: a mat that looks like a raked Zen garden. Made by Heymat of Oslo, Norway, it’s one of a line of indoor-outdoor designs composed of 50-to-100 percent recycled plastic.
