Above: The latest from the Ace Hotel group: a soon-to-open outpost in Kyoto, Japan, designed by longtime collaborators Commune Design. “The design concept for the hotel is rooted in an exchange between East and West through arts and crafts,” says Roman Alonso, design principal of Commune Design.
