I’ve been tasked with finding a nice set of linen curtains for two bedrooms. As a renter, there always exists the challenge of spending money on impermanence. (What if these don’t fit or look as well in the next place?) Whether you are renting or staying put, window treatments are an investment of time, money, and decision. My personal plan is to opt for simplicity. In that spirit, here is a current inventory of 10 simple linen curtains (shown in white but many available in other hues) from both big box stores and small linen makers.
Above: West Elm’s Belgian Flax Linen Curtain Panels in White start at $109 for an individual 84-inch unlined panel. The curtains are available unlined or with blackout lining and sold individually or as a set of 2. Also available in other colors at West Elm. Above: From Libeco, specializing in Belgian linen since 1858, the Casper Pole Pocket Drapery comes in White and White Sand for $212 per panel. Above: For a good budget option, the Ikea Aina Curtains in White are $59.99 for a pair and made of 100-percent linen. Above: For a robust but soft linen curtain, Restoration Hardware’s Washed Belgian Linen Drapery starts at $265 per panel. Available in a range of neutral-colored linen. Above: Pottery Barn’s Custom Classic Belgian Linen Rod Pocket Curtain starts at $46 for a 24-inch wide panel (with options available up to 180 inches wide). Above: Longtime Remodelista favorite and Remodelista Market alum Rough Linen makes their Orkney Linen Curtain in seven different shades; $145 per panel. Above: From Linen Me, the White Stone Washed Rod Curtain ranges from $149.99 to $169.99 at Linen Me. Above: The Crate & Barrel Linen Sheer Curtain Panel starts at $39.95. Above: From The Company Store, the Sheer Linen Window Panel starts at $49 per panel and comes in a range of colors. Above: The CB2 White Linen Curtain Panel is $59.95 and available in a range of colors.
