Shopper’s Diary: Crown and Crumpet

January 20, 2009

Not a doiley or lace curtain in sight at Crown and Crumpet, Amy and Christopher Dean’s latest venture. With a shared love of antiques, travel and tea, this bi-cultural couple (he’s a Brit and she’s a San Franciscan native) have given a modern stylish twist to the traditional tea salon. Their collective talents as an antiques dealer, prop buyer, and set dresser come together in this pretty Cath Kidston meets Vivienne Westwood glamour salon. Asides from tea, crumpets, and the like, they sell cups, saucers, and other tea accoutrements as well as eclectic pieces from their travels. They can be found at 207 Ghirardelli Square in San Francisco.
