I love this concept. I painted a huge block of wood chalkboard style for the kitchen but a whole wall would be amazing.
we just did this at home, painting the backsplash with both magnetic and chalkboard paint--we're trying to figure out if we should just doodle or do some sort of more full-tmie arty design!
Also love this - we have multiple walls with chalkboard paint that we did for our daughter - but the Cy Twombly reference, haha! - you got it spot on! Funny it wasn't a conscious decision!
Its great. Go to the art store and get soft pastels. You can create incredible works of art. Dont just stick to white chalk. Sidewalk chalk also works. The kids love it.
Anybody knows where can I find a white round chandelier similar to the one in Christine Lane Interior's dinning room? thanks

I'm looking to buy a schoolroom chalkboard, the old-fashioned kind...any leads? Can be in Europe...or USA.
I love this me and my boyfriend did a whole room like this. tho i can use some tips on what to use to erase it and make it look clean. No matter what we use it always leaves white smudges everywhere and often times we have to do it three times just to make it look considerably o.k. looking. Any ideas of what to use to clean it?
This is awesome idea. I always love to use chalboard paint for my home decoration. Do you know about magnetic chalboard paint? It's another great idea to decorate your home.
How are the magnetics sticking on the blackboard walls that I see in some of the pictures? Did my main living room wall, kids love it. So do I :). It cleans really well, washable actually. Was easy to apply and took only 1 small tin for the whole wall.
