House Call: Berge by Nils Holger Moormann

A while back, we featured Nils Holger Moormann's Branch Light and his Magnetic Shelves; now we visit Berge, his newly renovated inn in Aschau, Southern Germany. What was once a historic bakery is now a series of self-contained flats featuring Moormann's functional custom and built-in furniture. With no room service and no television, guests gravitate to the communal living room and kitchen. A comfy, down-bedded bunk room for backpackers refutes any notion of hardship on a hiker.

i love the wooden branch lamp!!!!
i don't know why but this home.. is somewhere in the middle of Scandinavian meets Tim Burton. maybe it is that thin twisted fixture over the table just floating - either way i love it.
The Flats look really nice but nothing for families… I guess.
