Designer Visit: Justine Hugh-Jones in Sydney

Issue 19 · Refining the Kitchen · May 11, 2011

There's a lot to like about this Barrenjoey beach cottage by Sydney-based designer Justine Hugh-Jones, starting with the coolly controlled pale palette and the mix of vintage and new. Hugh-Jones lived and studied design in Europe, and says her inspiration comes from "the fresh and distinctive feel of Northern European design, especially France, Belgium, and Scandinavia. Having lived in Sydney for the last 12 years, my design has adapted to take advantage of light, open plan interiors and outdoor living."
