This 1,000-square-foot Victorian Carpenter Gothic cottage on Martha's Vineyard was given an overhaul recently by Hutker Architects. We especially like the seafoam green porch with the red rockers and the ad hoc collection of painted furniture. Photos by Julian Wass.

For anyone who aspires to this country gothic style, there's an adorable cottage in the Timberpeg post-and-beam series of house plans. Very reminescent of the cottage pictured above. Heaven!! Wow!! Those pictures re-inspire me to continue with the vision I love & want for my home. My stairs are sitting bare right now (just tore up the carpet) and I've been wanting to do something just like that but was a little unsure....but not anymore... I L O V E it!!
