Nicola Tassie makes hand-thrown domestic ware, focusing on jugs, flat-bottomed bowls and perfectly formed espresso mugs. She is particularly concerned with surface and its relation to form, working texture into the clay to create tactile and intriguing surface pattern. Her restrained use of colour is considered and sits beautifully against her predominantly off white and charcoal pieces.
