An unglazed large candle holder, hand-thrown and carved for us in iron-rich stoneware by Symy Ong, a mile or so from the Objects of Use store. Perfect for holding one of our hand dipped beeswax Giant Stubby candles, or the Stumpie. Ong, who apprenticed for a year with a Japanese wood-fired pottery, has recently set up studio in Oxford, making stoneware pieces which are fired in a gas kiln.
