Description from Uncommon Goods

Light Coffee, Two Sugars
The classic New York coffee cup is immortalized in infinitely reusable ceramic with this distinctive creation. Once a staple of every corner deli, the easily recognized blue and white Greek motif is quickly disappearing from city streets. The durable design proves to be much longer lasting than the old-fashioned paper version, while still maintaining a distinctly city feel. This witty remake of an unforgettable original is a must-have for every city-living coffee drinker. Made in Thailand.
The original paper cup, the Anthora, was designed by Leslie Buck in the late 1960s. It shot to popularity in daily use and in pop culture and has become one of the symbols associated with New York City. Mr. Buck passed away on April 26, 2010. He was 87 years old. You can read his life story in the New York Times.
