Peanuts, crackerjacks, and pencils: classic baseball game necessities. We’ve collected six of our favorite pencils for scoring a game in this sampler set, focusing on pencils that write darkly, keep a point for several innings, and have an eraser on the end.
General’s Cedar Pointe #1: Made with California incense cedar and a fantastic eraser, this reliable pencil has wonderful point retention and a smooth line. Made in the USA.
General’s Test Scoring: Originally designed for scantron test taking, this classic pencil makes a dark mark but erases remarkably well. Made in the USA.
Viking Element 2: One of our favorite Danish pencils, this version comes with an eraser on top for accurate scoring. Made in Denmark.
Moon Products Try-Rex Regular: The triangular shape of this pencil makes it comfortable to hold for all nine innings. Made in the USA.
Mitsu-Bishi 9852 #2: Called the “Master Writing” pencil, this one comes with a spongy eraser and strikes a perfect balance between darkness and point retention. Made in Japan.
